It's Groundhog Day again, and the arbitrariness continues. According to Phil, the famed Groundhog from Punxsutawney (who is right only 39% of the time, according to CNN), we have 6 more weeks of winter to suffer. According to Staten Island's Groundhog Chuck, however, Spring is quickly on its way.
While the WSJ responds by retrofitting Phil's forecasts to the economy, Kiosk, the NYC-based vendor of everyday goods, has released a new collection in honor of the holiday, celebrating "nature" in fittingly capricious ways, as "shady shadows shine surely short!"
The collection includes cheese slicers, craft knives, doorstop wedges, tape dispensers, nut-creme packets, spruce sodas, and weeping zines, not to mention the (pretty great) felt insoles pictured below, which, according to Kiosk, will "stop the chill and help you walk carefully in nature."
By the way, Groundhog Day, the Harold Ramis film from 1993 starring Bill Murray (and Puxsutawney Phil), is available on Netflix On Demand—not a bad idea if you're looking for something to watch tonight.
