Rooster Design of NYC kicks off their second annual "The Next Big Small Brand" contest today, with an eye out for go-getter artisanal food entrepreneurs who could use some branding help. Rooster donates marketing, branding and design services to one lucky food-trepreneur based on: taste, presentation, design opportunity, marketability, and uniqueness. Winners also get the benefit of a free month's worth of vendor space at the Brooklyn Flea, and three months of free PR services from First Press Public Relations. Kombucha Brooklyn (shown above) took the grand prize branding opportunity last year, chosen for founder Eric Childs' "fervor for kombucha's health benefits, his commitment to making a local product, and his vision for the future of his company."
The contest opens for submissions October 4th through November 11th, semi-finalists pitch their concept in person November 29th to December 10th, and the winner will be announced at a live tasting and judging event on January 12th. More info. and entry here.
