VaporScape is an interactive soundscape installation in collaboration with NikeLab's The Vision-Airs project, globally launched to celebrate Nike's new VaporMax technology.
The idea behind this exhibit is detecting the humidity of the room and the temperature of audience members' skin and translating the vaporization rate into sound modulation. It emphasis the biomechanics process of the human body and embodies the generative soundscape contained in a vaporized atmosphere.
Vaporization is all about the changing of state—turning liquid to vapor. We breath, we sweat, our heart beats and our blood flows. That's how the internal circulation works and regulates body temperature. Heat evaporates through sweating. Our body works like an orchestra, and the micro sounds produced are amazing.
