IDSA 1995 National Conference - Santa Fe, New Mexico
IDSA will sponsor its 1995 National Conference in Santa Fe, NM, focusing on the theme "Natural Resources." Chaired by Tucker Viemeister, IDSA, the program reflects the geographic and cultural spirit of the Santa Fe area with an innovative twist: almost all the sessions will be off site, not in a hotel ballroom.

Among the unorthodox formats this conference will experiment with are: sessions at the Los Alamos National Laboratory; cookouts and group discussions at the Santa Clara Pueblo; continental breakfast in the annual Design Gallery; and a final night dinner and Industrial Design Excellence Awards ceremony.

"The speakers will be there to add perspective and spark 'thinkouts'. Instead of breakout sessions, 'Provocateurs' will lead small discussions we call 'Talkabouts,'" Viemeister explains. "If you like to listen, the simultaneous educators conference will present academic papers for your contemplation. And the Design Gallery will not only show off the profession's best work, it will be your opportunity to make a nonverbal contribution, a 3-D statement, to visualize a new reality."

Due to the nature of the sites used by the conference, IDSA has to limit the number of registrants to the first 500.

For details on the conference schedule and hotel, airline and rental car discounts, please contact:
