This incredible-seeming Neurode wearable is meant to treat ADHD without the use of medication.
Instead it sends light electrical stimulation to your prefrontal cortex, directly acting on the part of the brain that is problematic in ADHD sufferers. The results are improved focus, impulse control and memory—without the annoying side effects common with ADHD medications.
Additionally, the device actually measures brain activity, allowing you to track—numerically—whether your symptoms are improving or not. This removes the ambiguity that can often come with taking ADHD medication.
The device is not meant to be warn all the time. The developers, engineer Damian Sofrevski and neuroscientist Nathalie Gouailhardou (who herself has ADHD) advise 20-minute daily sessions.
