The winning Student entry in Apps & Platforms went to Voice Select from Malte Fial and Johannes Roghkegel at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd. This platform uses a smartphone application that empowers users to manually select and prioritize voices in group settings and is designed to accommodate the highly individual nature of hearing impairments by offering multiple levels of customization.
The jury team for the 2025 Apps & Platforms category was led by Jury Captain Jodi Cutler senior design director at H-E-B. Cutler led a team that included Adriana Morales a Design Principal at H-E-B, Maui Francis the UX Manager & Design Lead at Google, and Kathryn Marinaro who is Creative Director at argodesign.
