Winning the Professional Apps & Platforms category is the WE: Wellness Support for Non-Native Speaking Women project from QIMU Design. WE is an innovative platform designed to empower immigrant women by breaking down barriers in healthcare access. WE addresses the challenges using a user-centered design that combines cutting-edge technology and human connection, ensuring healthcare becomes accessible, supportive, and empowering

The winning Student entry in Apps & Platforms went to Voice Select from Malte Fial and Johannes Roghkegel at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd. This platform uses a smartphone application that empowers users to manually select and prioritize voices in group settings and is designed to accommodate the highly individual nature of hearing impairments by offering multiple levels of customization.

The jury team for the 2025 Apps & Platforms category was led by Jury Captain Jodi Cutler senior design director at H-E-B. Cutler led a team that included Adriana Morales a Design Principal at H-E-B, Maui Francis the UX Manager & Design Lead at Google, and Kathryn Marinaro who is Creative Director at argodesign.
