Van Hulsteijn: Real Bike Porn Has Curves
I ordered a 10 speed SRAM version as I do 15 - 18,000 km a year using it as a fast road bike and for lots of hills.
Fixed a few minor problems like the chain coming off over bumps and the whistle from the front fork drain hole positioning and then converted it to a 20 speed with two front crank sprockets and front derailleur.
I love it and it is always being used instead of my much lighter carbon road bike.
Love the design and get so many positive comments.
No negative comments to date.
Very stable handling and have hit 86.4 kph downhill.
It gets a very hard workout and has coped extremely well.
Some people have told me they wouldn't ride it, just stick it on the wall as a piece of art.
Also, as Mike mentioned, there's just so much stress on these joins without motivation.
it seems some of you haven't yet learned to drop down a leg on panic stops. In any case, that bike would be worth a swift hit in the dearlies.
I suppose the standover height is an issue for anyone unused to older, taller frames. But the Softride-like shape is great for shock absorption and it's overall very elegant. I love the 3s option.
Ugly, too - and the rear mech cable needs sorting out.
