In a heartening 21st-Century version of corporate arts support, Mercedes-Benz has launched The Avant/Garde Diaries, a "digital portrait magazine" that features interviews of notable creatives, over the weekend.
We had the opportunity to enjoy the grand opening festivities in Berlin on the occasion of the premiere—stay tuned for the recap—but for now, check out this profile of Konstantin Grcic, one of the first designers chosen by curator Raf Simons, "Thinking Sideways" (it's set to autoplay after the jump):
To promote and celebrate their birth, The Avant/Garde Diaries will be holding three-day festivals in cities around the world. The schedule is still TBD, but you can stay abreast of future developments here.
Again, we'll have a recap of the first event in Berlin shortly.
