I'm a heavy Apple user and I love their products, but I'm bewildered by some of their design decisions. The one that drives me the most nuts is that my Thunderbolt Display's USB ports are on the back. As someone who is frequently connecting and disconnecting things, this gets super-annoying.
So I was excited when I saw this little gizmo by BlueLounge, the Jimi USB extension:
I really do fumble around like the people in the beginning of the video, and was all set to buy three of these...until I saw the end of the video. This is made specifically for the iMacs—check out the photo below and you'll see that a little lip on the device clips into the vents in the bottom of the screen--and won't fit my chunky Thunderbolt. To me, whatever aesthetic pleasure is conferred by having the front of a display look visually clean is far outweighed by the regular hassle of the ports being located on the back.
