  this project is not about the concept as a technology. It is instead about translating a companies brand values into a physical product that would fit that brand 5 years in the future

  Who got this concept first? I remember the same concept of design was shown in the Si-Fi movie: "The Red Planet".

  I saw this and other similar stuff at new designers '06 in London. It reminds me of the pda from the Val Kilmer effort 'Red Planet'. Unfortunately there was too much of this stuff kicking about and its nothing new, yet it still gets coverage?

  How banal. I've seen this stuff as well for a long time and actually had an assignment in d-school that this sort of thing was a sketch assignment. In 1994, the retractable screen was said to be 5 years away. So is it still 5 years away or are we going to concede to the reality?
