Asian economies on the rise, vis-a-vis design. A BusinessWeek article has the skinny on "The Rise of the Asian Design School" in China, India, Taiwan and Korea, and a rather surprising article in Korea's Chosun Ilbo newspaper discusses the work done in Korea by high-powered designers Karim Rashid, Philippe Starck and Arik Levy. (The latter article is surprising because it mentions, in great specificity, what some of the designers were paid per project!)
