This would be great for a Recumbent bike conversion for easier hill climbing.

This is the least bizarre of your bizarre ideas, I love it!

    But is it foldable?

For years I've wanted a kind of adult tricycle based upon a wheelchair (one of the most comfortable chairs I know of) that is collapsible, light-weight so I can carry it up my three flights of stairs, and, perhaps, can take a fairing to keep me dry in the rain and snow.  Talked to a couple of bike people about it and even found one who was interested in the idea but he went to Spain soon after and never replied to my last email.

    Oh well.
