Steven M. Johnson's Bizarre Invention #260: Extra-Stability Shoes
I used to see a very brave older woman who shuffled, an inch or two at a time. It took her many many minutes to shuffle a block. Her perseverance astonished and humbled me. You might want to think about footwear for elders who can barely lift their feet, can only shuffle an inch or two at a time. Imagine for them a magic carpet, please.
