Dutch agency Solar Initiative did a pretty cool job developing two sets of dynamic postal stamps for TPG Post. This paper short movie - featuring Dutch speed skater Yvonne van Gennip - has been realized using a lenticular effect technology (New Zealand partners) combined with a unique printing process (Australia partners). Incredible how this global innovation package gets available for... exactly, 39 Eurocents.

The TPG Post Lenticular Stamps are in fact 24 frames of historical video footage, at half PAL this is around 2 full seconds they have got into the stamp! This site http://www.lenticular.org.nz is one of the companys that was part of the production, they printed the lenticular part before it got finished into a stamp. There is also a guide on how to prepare artwork for this sort of thing at http://www.lenticular.org.nz/lenticularartwork.htm High precision is vital when printing on the lenticular lens material - the tiniest fault will be magnified ten times through the lenticular lens surface, so there's absolutely no room for error in printing or design!
