In just a few weeks you'll be able to bid on the Two Nuns bicycle designed by Ron Arad, which I can only describe as "Freaking amazing." On December 1st it goes up for bidding at the WOW Bikes charity auction to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
As you can see, the bike's wheels are made out of sprung steel. And yes, it works—have a look:

Probably no the most practical wheel design but certainly cool!
Aside: When will Core77 change their mobile site so that people with big boy phones can view the video's without having to load the full site? Let the people with toy phones look at blue Legos.
Very nice. Now make the wheel-tires out of re/upcycled car tires and you'd have a hit.
How does it stop? How much do the wheels weigh?

The noise the wheels make is initially chime-like, but I imagine hearing it for longer than a few seconds would be very annoying.
