If you're smokin' a pipe, keep the goods (tobacco, duh) where they belong--in style. Timothy Dubitsky's new Designer Pipe Screens (edited by Tobias Wong) fancy-up a neglected smoking accessory, most often plain and circular in shape. The screen is currently debuting at Art Basel in Miami at the J Deitch/Paper Magazine Art Store. The screens will also be available at Cite and The Future Perfect, here in NYC. Hmm...maybe we'll see these on Target shelves by Easter!

This looks like a major ripoff of Tord Boontjes Garland lamp. Is this on purpose, its an exact copy of a small part of it_____________http://www.dedece.com/cfm/imageView.cfm?imagename=/product_images2/p1351/full_garland1.jpg

BTW.. I'm not spamming
The way the incense, Buddha decor & potpurri selections have been going lately, I would be surprised NOT to see them at your favorite discount retailer.
whats the rip off here? is the pipe screen a lamp? is the lamp a pipe screen? how are we to move forth with design if we cant be inspired to make work from other great projects/pieces? was duchamps fountain a rip off of the urinal?
This is just a small piece of a Tord Boontje garland in a baggie. Not art, and not a decent screen. Dubitsky and Wong should own up to the tru e identity of the "designer".
