Porsche Design Group and Poggenpohl are collaborating on a kitchen "especially designed for men."
"Our co-operation with Porsche Design enabled us to design a kitchen whose sleek and functional design language specifically addresses male customers," says the press release. As for actual design details? No-handle cabinets, aluminum finishes, hi-tech A/V system. Not sure what the male gender has to do with a lack of handles, but Poggenpohl's the oldest furniture brand in Germany, so we're sure they know what they're doing.
The Man Kitchen (not its official name) will be coming out in 2008.

Waiting for 2008 is really bugging but i wish the features justifies the wait.
ugllllllllly.
yuck! ! !
I think that this is a really cool idea that could help many men to get that spark to start cooking!
It's FUGLY! Wouldn't put it in my garage next to my 911! A shame Porsche would put their name on such crap!
It looks really boring to me but if it would get my man into the kitchen and have him cooking and cleaning up afterwards I would have one just like it.
Yes... that long-running historical tradition is definitely necessary to justify such blatant misogyny.
Great design, years ahead of the American market still stuck on shaker style .
