Remember our post on traveling salesmen's sample cases? Probably not, no one read it because it went live on Christmas Eve. Nevertheless, I love the idea of bespoke boxes designed to hold specific items. These days there's no more traveling salesman, so I have to get my jollies by looking at promotional items like Gatorade's G-Series Fit media kit.

Sent to media outlets that did not include Core77 due to a grievous oversight, Gatorade's silver box contains samples of their latest nutritional supplements, a workout towel, a flash drive wristband, and a neat pull-out drawer containing a nice little bribe in the form of an iPod touch.

Designed by the Fleishman-Hillard Creative Agency, it would've been nice if the box had some lasting value built into it, like if it was designed to be a permanent workout case of some sort. It'll be a shame to see things like this go in the garbage, only to turn up in a blog post in fifty years' time.
