Emily Beck's projects definitely fall into the "just crazy enough to work" category, and her latest is no exception. The Excuse Me Belt is a nice exercise in simplicity and absurdity, and the movie is a joy to watch--especially the part where the guy says "I'd probably wear that around my arm, instead of my johnson." I know you need things to talk about, and some days news is slow, but this stuff is all awful, and hideously ugly. Just because an idea is mildly clever doesn't make it good design. All her work looks like student projects - half-assed and lacking in visual sensibilities. Her background is in English Literature, and it shows.
additionally, having a flag attached to a belt visually appears more like a falic-like object... no, excuse me.
